Countdown Begins!!

Finally I have some time to sit down and write about what's been going on the past couple of weeks! First of all, I cant believe Christmas has passed and it's almost January! Where has the time gone?! We had a great Christmas considering the circumstances. Julian was very spoiled this year!! He got tons of gifts from both sides of the family and he's now an official pro at opening gifts! Out of the 3 years I've been with Tony, this was the second Christmas without him :( I have to say, it doesn't get any easier. We missed him very much this year but I am so thankful for a thing called,a video camera lol. I know it won't be the same but I can't wait to show Tony how Julian did this Christmas.

Now that Christmas has passed, I get to look forward to our anniversary which is in TWO days! WOW!! two years already?! The past two years have been so emotional (having our first child!), fun, crazy, and amazing! Thank you for being the best dad and husband that any woman could ask for! Can't wait to celebrate when you get back!

So the past month I feel like I have SO much to look forward to! Christmas, anniversary, New Years and a very special Homecoming!! The love of my life will be home in less than a month and i am beyond thrilled. Even though our deployment was 4 months (So thankful for that!!), I feel like we didn't get to experience a lot of things as a family. We can't wait to have our family back together again and enjoy the time together! We miss you babe and look forward to seeing you very soon :)

Okay so I'm going to edit because I read through this and realized I didn't talk about anything We've done the past couple of weeks! I am proud to say that Julian has his top molars in and I am SO spoiled with this little boy. I just happened to notice on Friday that they were there! He has been the best sleeper and the happiest child. How did I get so lucky? I better go find some wood to knock on! Other than this news, we haven't really been doing much. He is learning new words still almost everyday, running everywhere and being a little ham. Looking forward to some playdates this next week and then we'll be home! Missing all my friends and looking forward to seeing you guys when we get back!

Trying to find my crafty side

This is my 3rd week being in Oklahoma City and I am loving spending time with old friends and family! Julian is doing fantastic (other than teething, poor baby!) and we're trying to get into the Christmas spirit! I have been living on pinterest trying to find some crafts for me to do with Julian during the day. There are so many cute things if only i can bring out my craftiness aaaand actually go to Hobby Lobby to get the stuff lol. It's been SO cold here that we've been hibernating inside a lot. When i do find the energy to get out of the house, we've been trying to find stuff to send Tony for Christmas. Let me tell you, Tony is a hard person to shop for! We're doing Christmas with him when he gets back so I'm trying to only find little things. Good thing Julian is such a great little helper!

The other day, Julian turned 15 months old. Where has the time gone?! My little baby isn't much of a baby anymore. He is learning a new word everyday, coloring with crayons (and not putting them in his mouth, YAY) and running EVERYWHERE. He helped decorate the Christmas tree this year and he did a great job! He was walking around the tree with us, when we were putting on the lights and helping hanging up the ornaments! Here are some pics to show daddy and we can't wait to see you next month!

Here's some pics from Julian's very first time helping decorate the tree!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It has been a long past couple of weeks! I am finally in OKC and it is great to spend time with some family. The past 3 weeks, my little man has been battling ear infections :( He is such a little trooper though!! Next week, I have to take him to get his ears checked out and i pray that it is all gone!!

My brother, who is currently stationed in California, was in town this past week and it was nice to catch up! We celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday with him and it was so nice to have my family together at one time. Today was just a day of relaxation, which  i am SO thankful for! After dinner, we took Julian to go look at Christmas lights and he loved it! He was pointing and talking the entire time. He is growing up so fast!

We miss you Tony and I can't believe that you'll be home soon!

It's been forever!!

I haven't been on this thing in a while! I've been staying busy with doctor appointments and getting things ready for our trip to OKC in a couple of weeks!! I can't believe it's already November! Time has been flying and thank the Lord for that!

Halloween was a week ago and it was so fun to dress Julian up this year! If you didn't see the pictures, he was a cute little puppy dog! We went trick or treating on base and he had a blast!! It was kind of bittersweet doing all the Halloween stuff without daddy but there's always next year ;) Since Halloween, not much has been going on other than errands. The Deherrera's going away party was this past weekend and that was so much fun! Abilene is losing such a sweet and loving family and they will be greatly missed. Spending time with wonderful friends is what life is all about! I've noticed that some people on Facebook are doing a Month of Thanks in November. I LOVE that! Giving thanks doesn't have to be just in November, it can be all year long! There are so many things that we can be thankful for!!! :)

In a couple of days marks our half way point for this deployment and MAN am i excited!!! I miss my husband so much but I know that these next couple of months will go by quick! We love you Tony and we're proud of everything you do for us!

Get me outta this funk!!

Weekends used to be fun and now they're more lonely than anything lol I'm not feeling sorry for myself but it's so different being alone when everyone else is with their husbands and family!

ONE month down only a few more to go!

So this week wasn't so eventful. It all kind of seems like a blur actually. I hung out with some good friends, the Campbells this week,  and they have been nothing but amazing to me and Julian. God really blesses us with some great  people in our lives!!! We decided to go to the pumpkin patch on Friday and it was SO windy. We didn't get to really enjoy the fun of it, plus Julian runs away from me any chance he gets! Saturday was Ashley's Baby shower and it was so much fun! It's always so nice to get together with girls and enjoy time together and celebrate a beautiful baby coming into the world!! I am once again SO thankful for my friendships and I'm starting to realize who my true friends are. Thank you everyone for being so generous to my family while Tony is away :)

The next couple of weeks are filled with appointments, Halloween parties and getting everything sorted out before i head home for the Holidays! October has flown by already and I'm ready to tackle the next few months so I can have my family back together again!

One of those crazy emotional nights...

UGH tonight has been so lonely and weird for me! I just got back from eating at a friends house and it was SO much fun and just what i needed but I come home and instantly get into a funk :/ I just need a good cry to get it all out of my system lol

I LOVE blogging because I feel like I can write down everything I'm feeling without making 500 status's a day! Lately, friendship has been on my mind a lot. "What makes a friend?" In the verse Proverb 17:17, it says "A friend loves at ALL times and a brother is born for adversity." AMEN. Your friends should love you at all times no matter what!! I am so thankful for the love I get from my friends. It doesn't matter about who has the nicest car, the most money or the biggest house! It's all about love and building a relationship with one another. Being away from home, I need my friendships! I strive to be the best friend that I can be. Sometimes I forget to just sit back  and really reflect on the people that are in my life and why God put those special people there.  I am constantly SO thankful for my friends and I just hope that they know how special they are to me!

WHEW it's so nice to be able to write down my thoughts since nobody's hear to listen to me spill my heart out. Hoping for a busy week and lots of fellowship!!

I'm new at this...

So as I was sitting at home today, I decided I wanted to try this blogging thing out! There's so much that happens through out the day and I needed a place to write it all down!

We've been so busy lately! Over the weekend, I decided I wanted to participate in the Abilene Heartwalk. I was SO glad that i did!! The walk started around 9:30 a.m. and we walked 3 miles in just a little over an hour! It was Julian and I's first walk and we loved it! It's such an amazing feeling to be a part of something so wonderful and inspirational. After the walk, my friends decided they wanted to go to cracker barrel. Ate there for lunch and I got a text from Tony saying to get on skype so we zoomed home to talk to him. It was a great day.

Sunday I woke up feeling really yucky so We just spent the day at home. It was just what we needed! We've been so busy lately so it was nice to just stay in our pajamas and just relax :) Over all it was a great weekend and I'm looking forward to what this week brings us!

Here's some pictures from the walk :)
